Verify an Invitation
This page allows you to verify that a party that claims to have used the Fair Reputations system with respect to a specific dispute or transaction has in fact done so.
Certificate Code Search Engine:
(Enter the twenty-two character Certificate Code into the space provided below and click to "Search")
Each party that uses the Fair Reputations system is provided with a certificate attesting to the manner in which that party used the system and the results of that use. Each certificate has a unique twenty-two character "Certificate Code" printed in the upper left-hand corner of the certificate, just beneath the Account Number. This code allows parties that use the system to demonstrate to others that they have used the system by simply providing them with access to that code. If you have been given such access and you enter the code into the search engine appearing above, you will be able to determine whether or not that code is valid and, if it is, to see a copy of the corresponding certificate.
If the code that you enter is a valid Certificate Code, you will be given access to a copy of the certificate that corresponds to that code. The certificate will contain a copy of a "Term Sheet" that was agreed to by the party that initiated the use of the system and will certify that (a) the Term Sheet is currently active (i.e., awaiting a response from the other party); or (b) the parties had agreed to a settlement as described within the Term Sheet; or (c) the parties had agreed to arbitration, as described within the Term Sheet; or (d) the party to whom the Term Sheet was issued had failed to either settle or agree to arbitration prior to the deadline set forth in the Term Sheet.
There are two types of data that appear in certificates given to parties that use the system, but that do not appear in copies of certificates that are accessed via the search engine appearing on this page:
